TOP FIVE THINGS TO DO IN MARCH

Happy Spring! Here’s your quick guide to fun stuff happening in Concord this month:

1. HOLD MY BEER

Beer lovers will find plenty of reasons to raise a glass with friends this month. After a two-year hiatus, the ever-popular Spring Brews Fest will return to Todos Santos Plaza on Saturday, March 26. Why not make a weekend of it?  Book your room before March 11 and receive a special Beer Fest Stay & Play Package.

And there’s more to love as our local breweries and tap houses including Epidemic Ales, The Hop Grenade, Concord Tap House , Side Gate Brewery & Beer Garden and E.J.Phair (yes, they’re back!) roll out their tasty, new spring offerings. Be sure to get our Beer Trail mobile passport featuring more than 40 unique craft brew destinations throughout Contra Costa County, before you head out.

2. NATURE'S EYE CANDY

Choose your inspiration with Mt. Diablo State Park’s handy guide to Ten Short Walks. The list includes a quick reference guide to what you’ll find at each. Whether you’re looking for scenic views, wildflowers, or wildlife, there’s a trail just for you. Go often and try a different one each time to suit your mood.

3. DO IT YOUR SELFIE

Immerse yourself in photo heaven at Selfie WRLD, a fun, new attraction open now at The Veranda shopping center. The first in the Bay Area, the experience features interactive art installations with colorful backdrops and fun props. Bring your best look and go nuts.

4. SHOP THE POP-UPS

Head over to the Visitor Center courtyard for Concord Art Association’s Spring Fling Pop-Up Arts & Crafts Show on Saturday, March 12 and check out the beautiful bounty of handcrafted goods on display by local artists. And be sure to save the date for Bay Area SpringFest, a fun day of plants, art, crafts, music and food happening in the Plaza on Saturday, April 2.

5. THE ROAD TO HAPPINESS

It’s been said that beer is proof that God loves us and wants us to be happy – and the same can probably be said of wine as well! Download your guide to liquid joy with Visit Concord’s Contra Costa County Beer & Wine Map and hit the road.
