For those who like their fresh produce with a side of tasty tunes, Music & Market is back!  Head on over to Todos Santos Plaza every Thursday night starting July 15 through September 30 for the popular Farmers Market music series. This year’s lineup features great tribute bands and longtime local favorites including Zydeco Flames, Journey Revisited and Zepparella, just to name a few. 

2. ROCK AND ROLL

Looking for free summertime recreation and fun for the whole family? Check out 511 Contra Costa's  Summer Bike Challenge 2021 where riders of all ages can explore their hometown on two wheels. Simply bike to each destination and cross off the squares as you go. There's also weekly bonus challenges and free prizes, so get your gamecard and get rolling!

3. HANG OUT WITH SOME REAL CHARACTERS

Fans and collectors of comics, Marvel, DC, LEGO and Star Wars will not want to miss Contra Costa Con 2 on at the Hilton Concord on Sunday, July 18 from 10 a.m.to 4 p.m. This family-friendly event includes entertainers, vendor booths, a costume contest, and a few surprises!

4. SWIM WITH THE PARKS

Beat the heat with some cool and refreshing swim time at Concord’s public pools. Check Concord Parks & Recreation website for lap and recreational swim schedules and fees. 

5. ES-SCAPE TO THE ART COTTAGE

The aRt Cottage is at it again. Don’t miss their Land, Air and Sea Scapes Art Show happening now through August 27.  All styles and mediums will be showcased. The gallery is open from Tues-Fri 11 AM to 5 PM and Saturdays 1-5 PM
